Christa Miller was born in New York on 28th May, 1964. She decided to follow her mother's footsteps into show business. Although her father wanted her to be a great lawyer; she turned out to be an actress. Acclaimed photographer Francesco Scavullo took her pictures when she was toddler for an ad on Ivory Snow along with her mother. And at the age of three she was featured on Redbook's cover.
Miller's parents never wanted her to take part in anything that had to do with show business. Thus her parents forced her to take up hard core studies at the prestigious Convent of the Sacred Hearts. But no one could stop her from her dream to become a good actor. She went on to begin her career as a model. As a model Miller was very successful and was featured in numerous reputed magazines while modeling in Japan and Europe.
Her first commercial came when she was 18. This was for Polaroid. She made her debut in television with the role on 'Kate & Allie'. Although Miller could have got this part with the assistance of her aunt Susan Saint James, she was successful in getting the part after an audition. In 1990 she decided to move to Los angels to concentrate on her career as an actor. Here she won a role in 'Northern Exposure'.
She also appeared in several television hits like 'Seinfeld', 'Party of Five' and 'Fresh Prince of Bell Air'. Miller appeared on the big screen with movies such as 'Deceived' and 'Love and Happiness'. She played the main lead role along with Kellie Martin in the highly reputed movie 'A Friend to Kill For' which was made for television. In 1995, she got a big break with the role on 'The Drew Carey Show'. Miller continues to work as a successful actor and a TV star.
