Christopher Wolstenholme was born in Rotherham Yorkshire on the 2nd of December, 1978. He then relocated to Devon at the age of 11. In Devon he joined a band, with Dominic Howard and Matthew Bellamy. After a couple of years no success in Dominic's and Matthew's band, Wolstenholme left the drums. He then joined them to form The Rocket Baby Dolls. This band lived on and was later renamed as Muse.
Although Christopher was not familiar with the bass guitar he learnt his way up to become one of the best in the industry. Christopher became an expert in a field in which he knew nothing about. He also played an electric double bass guitar in the songs like Unintended, Falling Down and Hoodoo. In Muse's band he uses distortion to bring out a innovative and different sound. His creativity is clearly evident and his skill outstanding.
Chris is married to Kelly and currently lives in Teignmouth with his wife. He has got three children, whose names are Alfie, Ava Joe and Frankie. Chris loves playing football and taking a walk round the park along with his family. He is a fan of Rotherham United. There is an incident told where is misplaced his wedding ring in Japan while at a concert. However, an honest fan found it and returned it to Chris. He sports quite a lot of Japanese tattoos on his body.
He once damaged his wrist while playing football. He had to cancel a tour because of the incident. As he could not contribute as a bass so they had to call it off. Chris can also be quite a headbanger when he is not singing. His doctors have advised him not to get into it too much as it could damage is neck and head. However, with Chris life is rock!
