Biography
Chris Tucker was born on 31st August in the city of Atlanta Georgia. He is the youngest among his six siblings. At the age of 19 Tucker made his debut appearance at Atlantis comedy Act Theater. He also received a standing ovation for this performance. In school Tucker was very active and one of those students who could make their teachers laugh. It was in school where Tucker was prompted by his instructor to showcase his talent in a talent show. After his huge success he decided to become a professional actor. Tucker took inspiration from Eddy Murphy and Richard Pryor.
Tucker made his acting debut in the movie House party-3. With the success of this movie Tucker became popular as a witty and innovative comedy actor. In 1995 he appeared in F Gary's crazy comedy "Friday". In this he played the role of "Smoky", a lazy and pot smoking drug peddler. Tucker's amazing performance made this film a huge Box office hit. Tucker then went on to show his ability as a dramatic actor in the movie "Presidents". This movie was directed by Allen Huges and Albert Hughes, and was quite successful too.
In 1997, Tucker made his entrance into action comedy as a hero in the movie "Money Talkies". In this movie he was also the executive producer. In his short career of seven years as an actor, he got a chance to act opposite international action star Jackie Chan in the movie "Rush hour". In this movie he played the role of a hyperactive CIA agent who lacks respect from his friends. Tucker's outstanding performance and spontaneous dialog delivery added a zing of comedy to this movie. The movie proved to be a huge success. This resulted in Rush Hour 2 which was also a great success.
Although his movie career is in great heights Tucker still prefers to do a lot of live performances. A true performer, he regularly appears in several comedy clubs and venues.
