Christopher Keith Irvine, better known by the ring name Chris Jericho, is an American-Canadian actor, radio host, rock musician and inactive professional wrestler. Jericho is best known for his appearances with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), and Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), and is credited as being the first-ever WWF Undisputed Champion and a record-setting seven-time WWE Intercontinental Champion.
His father, Ted Irvine, is a former National Hockey League player. Despite his strong Christian beliefs , Jericho's stage name was not directly inspired by the ancient Biblical city of Jericho, but from the heavy metal album entitled Walls of Jericho by the German power metal band Helloween.
