Being the only child of very successful parents can be overwhelming enough for anyone. But being the child of two very famous politicians who happen to be your parents can be pretty scary. Though her parents have been in the limelight all her life, this young woman has remarkably stayed grounded and does all she can to avoid drawing attention to herself. Her parents' very public marriage crisis may have played a large part in that.

Born in Little Rock, Arkansas on February 27, 1980 while her father was still governor, at school she proved to be very intelligent, so much so that she skipped the third grade and was very successful academically at the Sidwell Friends School in Washington DC which she attended while her father served as president of the USA. When she graduated from Sidwell she enrolled at Stanford University as a history major. After graduating with the highest honors in 2001 she went on to Oxford University to obtain a Master's degree in International Relations. She is currently employed at a consulting firm in New York City, where she is reportedly earning a six-figure salary.

The very media shy Clinton (even if her parents were notoriously in the spotlight all the time, they went to great lengths to make sure their daughter was guaranteed a normal childhood like everyone else), has often cruelly been the victim of jokes stemming from her non-classic beauty especially from Republican proponents, which has irked her parents and prompted apologies from the creators.

Though she enjoys the friendship of such media icons as Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow, Chelsea Clinton can be compared to another very famous first daughter, Caroline Kennedy, in that she has gone to great lengths - and succeeded - to maintain a private life while being the child of very famous political parents.
