Biography
Catherine Mary Hicks was born 6th August 1951, in Scottsdale, Arizona. A beautiful young girl with starry eyes, Catherine didn't nurture any dreams of making it big in show biz, and this might have been due to her religious upbringing. She had always been passionate about acting which led her to accept an acting fellowship to the Cornell University, once she was through with her graduation from the Saint Mary's College. Hicks had always been a devout Christian and she studied Theology from the University of Notre Dame.

Catherine Hicks struggled through her initial years, as any young starlet has to before appearing on Broadway in the theatrical version of the Tribute. Thereafter, there was no stopping this bundle of raw talent. Catherine quickly rose the ladder of success and won the hearts of millions through her sensitive, stirring performance as Dr. Faith Coleridge in famous 1976 soap opera Ryan's Hope. But it was her matchless portrayal of the Legend Marilyn Monroe in the 1980 T.V classic Marilyn: The Untold Story that really established her as someone who had truly arrived in Hollywood.

In 1982 she appeared as the female lead in the hit suspense/comedy series Tucker's Witch. The show was a hit and Catherine finally started receiving offers and lucrative ones at that from big Hollywood producers. Her first role as a supporting actress was in Star Trek I V: The Voyage Home. She was then seen in Peggy Sue Got Married and the 1988 horror flick Child's Play. The very next year she appeared as the female lead opposite Tony Danza in the movie She's out of Control.

The 1990s saw her appear in numerous television movies but it was only in 1996 that she paired against Stephen Collins in the drama 7th Heaven. Her role as Annie Carden in the drama is without a shadow of a doubt her most famous role. Hick found her life partner in the special effects expert Kevin Yagher.
