Catherine Bach was born in 1st March 1954. She is most famous for her stint in the Television Series "The Dukes of Hazzard", where she played the character of Daisy Duke. She also created a lot of waves with her much acclaimed performance in the African Skies.

Her first big break came as Melody in the 1974 film Thunderbolt and Lightfoot. She became a teenage icon, when unhappy with the wardrobe provided to her character as Daisy Duke, armed with a pair of scissors she fashioned a special pair of short Jeans. And since then "daisy Duke" has become synonymous with a pair of short jeans. And it's also interesting to note that over 5 million copies of her "Daisy Duke" posters have been sold world wide.

Catherine Bach, the feisty actress was born to achieve stardom. She was a born in Warren Ohio. Her father was in the air force and her mother was a Mexican was a Mexican who herself was a great beauty in her heydays. Catherine spent her teenage years in South Dakota, where her grandparents lived. A college heart throb Catherine was a teachers pet. She graduated with excellent marks from the High School in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Catherine Bach performance as Margo Dutton in The African Skies series allowed her to reinvent her "babe in shorts" image. In this much acclaimed series she played a razor sharp business woman with a lethal mind and a killer figure. The African Skies was filmed in South Africa and here her passion for wildlife and environment was ignited. In 1994 her passion led her to testify before the U.S congress on behalf of the Tiger and Rhinoceros conservation act. She fell in love with David Shaw whom she married in 1976. The marriage was however not a success and they separated in 1981. She then started seeing David Lopez and the couple exchanged vows in 1990. Catherine is now a proud mother of two lovely kids.
