Biography
Carre Ottis is one of the best-known models in the world because of her gorgeousness and resurgence. She was born in San Francisco, California on September 28, 1968. But at the age of 15, it was necessary for her to move to New York to pursue her modeling career. Compared to Cameron Diaz, Denise Richards and Angie Harmon who made their transitions from model to actress, Carrie had already started her acting career when she was only 14 before she pursued her modeling career. She attended school in Marin Academy located in San Rafael, California and John Woolman School located in Nevada City, California.
Carre's career as a model initiated at the age of 18 when she posed for a cover of a French edition fashion magazine. Her fame as a model for Guess and Calvin Klein ads had given her the recognition to become one of the top models in the industry. With her blonde hair this green/blue eyed beauty made a great contribution in the runway spots and campaign ads. If you will recall, Carre was the biker babe in one of early 90's commercials for Calvin Klein Jeans.
She also made cover shots for several fashion magazines such as New Women, Gear and San Francisco and was also featured in 1999 and 2000 issues of Playboy magazine as well. During Carre's free time from modeling, she starred in several acting roles. Her acting career started in an Emily Reed role in Wild Orchid (1990), where she met her husband, Mickey Rourke, a Hollywood bad boy. Their marriage only lasted for two years. She divorced him due to wife beating issue. Carre was also featured in the Pirelli Calendar in the year 1996, which recognizes beautiful and sexy women. After filming Wild Orchid, she struggled with Anorexia. Due to this, she was withdrawn from the modeling industry. After surviving Anorexia, Carre regained her popularity and was recognized as a "extra bulk model" and an endorser for healthy eating.
Carre has many tattoos on her body, consisting of five body imprints (a rose and a Japanese peace sign on her right ankle, Tibetan symbol on her left ankle, an angel on her back and a native American thunderbird on her wrist). She endorsed the Breil jewelry line in the year 2005. She is a vegetarian and a Buddhist.
Currently, she's signed with The Dash Group and still continues to work on her film and modeling careers. She commonly appears as a freelance journalist on Channel 4 News in San Francisco, California.
