Biography
Cara Nussbaum (born Cara Kahn) was born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 7, 1979 and is most famous for her role in MTV's the real World: Chicago. Her brother is Jeff Nussbaum, Al Gore's speech writer.

In the show she is a young woman from the Boston suburbs. She has been in and out of relationships with men for most of her life and quickly ended her last real relationship with Jared, whom she considered to be her one big love, to lead a single life in Chicago. But, she can't seem to curb her wanton ways, and can't stay away from men, which included a rock star and a come-and-go ex-boyfriend.

The Chicago season of The Real World was top rated up until that point, and many viewers say it was due of the sex, which most people compared to stories unlike those on Sex and the City. On the show Cara is strong and independent, but also shows the more vulnerable side of herself when she discusses her weight and anti-depressants in one episode.

On a happier note, and in REAL life, Cara married her college sweetheart, Dr. Scott Fudemberg in May of last year. The relationship was not without its problems - they parted ways for a while due to her being in the spotlight and her very explicit role on the show. The breakup caused Nussbaum depression and she became a spokesperson for depression-awareness. Still in love with Fudemberg, she re-contacted him in an effort to re-kindle their relationship. They worked out their differences and on their wedding day on May 13, 2006, the smile on the groom's face outshined the bride's white Monique Lhuillier gown.

Today she is happy to reside in Kansas, working as a saleswoman and auditioning for acting roles. But she is content to life that sort of life to be at her husbands' side, who practices medicine in Kansas.
