The California born Candace Helaine Cameron Bure is well known for her acting as Donna Jo D.J. Tanner in Full House. Her brother Kirk Cameron, was her role model. She decided to pursue acting as her career in line with her brother. She started acting in television commercials and switched over to guest roles in 'Who is the boss' and 'Growing pains'.
When she acted in 'Full house' she was just ten. The television crew was spellbound by her performance. Many roles followed in TV movies like 'She Cried No' and 'Night Scream'. She had to her credit many more TV serials and movies until she retired voluntarily around the year 2000. She married an ice hockey champion in the year 1996 and had three children. She self imposed a restriction from acting to look after her family and to spend her time with the kids.
Her spirit of acting has kindled her interest in producing an awareness video with the theme that depicts the day to day situations the children had to face which are dangerous and the ways of escaping them. The title 'The Krew' will add her name to an expert producer list. When Candace was staying in Los Angelis recently she created an episode of 'That's so Raven.' She had a blast and took the kids on the set who have come there to meet the cast and crew. Candace plays in that episode Courtney Dearborn, a teacher at Raven's school.
And now Candace writes a regular column with Christian Women Online. Candace had a new project that was due for release in February 2006. It was based on the Christian book "The Wager." Candace plays Cassandra/Maggie in that. Candace has hosted E! Entertainment's 50 Cutest Child Stars along with Keshia Knight Pulliam from the Cosby Show.
