Byung Yun Kim, the All Star National League in 2002 and a two-time World Series Champion, one in 2001 for Arizona Diamondbacks and the other one in 2004 for Boston Red Sox was born January 29,1979, in GwangJu, South Korea. He graduated from Gwangju HighSchool in 1997 while busy scoring for the national team. He attended college at the Sungkyunkwan University, in Seoul, South Korea.
Byung Yun has been a player for Arizona Diamondback from 1999 - 2003; Boston Red sox from 2003-2004; and Colorado Rockies since 2005. Prior to joining these famous teams, he was a name in his country in the baseball arena having earned the Most Valuable Player and Most Valuable Pitcher in the Korean National HighSchool Championships. In 1996, he was selected to join in the Korean National Junior Team and successively named to the National Team in 1997 and 1998. His skills in the sports allowed him to taste glorious moments when he defeated the Cuban country in the Four Nations Invitational games held in Osaka, Japan. In 1998, he was able to beat the US delegation in the World Championships held in Italy. On the same year, he also was one of the members of the Korean Baseball team who competed in the ASIAN games, held in Bangkok, Thailand where he was instrumental in catching the gold medal for the team.
