Biography
Brian Nicholas McFadden in real life was born on April 20, 1980, at the Rotunda Hospital, in Dublin Ireland. He was married to Kerry Katona, a blonde girl who used to be a member of the British girl band Atomic Kitten, in January 2002 which ended on a divorce in 2006. McFadden had two daughters with her, Molly Marie born in August 2001 and Lilly Sue in February 2003. Back in school, he is always fascinated ins studying Sciences, Math, and English and considered learning Irish his least favorite one. He has always loved the voice of Mariah Carey and Leonardo Di Caprio as his favorite actor. He is a self confessed lover of the scents of D&G and Cool Water.
As a growing up child, Bryan had had a problem with his being overweight. Nonetheless, with his tall frame, his issue with his weight and getting bullied has come to an end. He has had so many schools that he attended when he was a growing up child. The first school that he attended was St. Fiachras and was eventually expelled for throwing an elastic band at his teacher. Afterwhich, he went to St. Davids CBS Primary School, but because he felt that he was not treated fairly by the teachers and his classmates, he then again left the school and attended St. Joseph's Romini and there he spent the last four years of his secondary level.
Brian's name was changed in spelling into BRYAN when he was casted by Louis Walsh and joined the boy band WESTLIFE. The rationale behind according to him was that it made the signing of the autograph a lot easier with the name spelled as BRYAN. His joining the boy band was considered as the turning point of his career. It was indeed a 360 degrees of turning point as he made successes while with the band. With #1 in the chart with their first 7 singles which has set a new record in the Guiness Book of Records. However, his stint with Westlife has not lasted so long. In March 2004, he disbanded himself from the group to further his solo career and to spend quality time with his daughters.
As a solo artist, he was signed up by Sony BMG and his first album "Irish Son" has made a cut in the Top 30 of the UK Charts and his debut single "Real to Me" released in September 2004 became #1 in the UK charts. With his career going solo, he changed back his name from BRYAN to BRIAN.
At present, he is managing a South African rock band "Franklin" and the Irish group "Melt Hair and The Love Rats". He is also busy with his own recording studio the Vocal Lab in Dublin.
