Biography
When you say British heavy metal, one person comes first on your mind - Bruce Dickinson. He was born as Paul Dickinson on the 7th of 1958 in Worksop, Nottinghamshire.
When he was on his teens, they relocated to Sheffield. He became interested with heavy metal bands such as Deep Purple. He tried playing the drums but that did not work out. He pursued being on vocals in the band Styx, Shots and Speed. But these bands did not help him in making it big time, not until he became member of the band Samson.
The band got the name after Paul Samson, the guitarist of the band. They played and are the experts in heavy metal. Bruce Dickinson took the name then Bruce Bruce. They had released 2 albums. Head On was released on 1980 and Shock Tactics was released on 1981. The band also encountered controversy when the Thinderstick, the drummer would wear a black mask just like a British rapist that would wear the same disguise. In the summer of 1981, Bruce Dickinson left the band having the reason of musical differences.
In the late 1981, Dickinson tried out for being the singer of Iron Maiden after Paul Di'Anno left the hot band. Not so soon enough, Iron Maiden released the very best album that made it as the unbeatable heavy metal classic of all time. With Dickinson leading the band on vocals, they have made it on top of music charts with their albums such as Piece of Mind in 1983, Powerslave in 1984, Live After Death on 1985, Somewhere in Time in 1986 and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son on 1988.
In 1990, Bruce Dickinson released his fist solo album Tattooed Millionaire. He left the band for a short while but returned and recorded in 1990 for No Prayer for the Dying and Fear of the Dark in 1992. He left the band on 1993. But he managed to settle the differences he had with the band and got reunited on 1999 for the album Brave New World. While going on solo, he was able to release his albums such as Balls to Picasso in 1995, Alive in Studio A in 1995, Accident of Birht in 1997, The Chemical Wedding in 1998 and Scream for Me Brazil in 1999.
