Brooke Shields is already a model right even she celebrated her very first birthday. When she was eleven months old, she was chosen as the Ivory Snow Baby. And after two years, she was already seen in runways and was seen in the Colgate commercial as a Breck girl. After portraying the image of a Lolita, she was chosen to play a child prostitute in 1978 for Pretty Baby. Her role became very controversial as she shot somewhat sensual scenes in the movie.

In 1983, she enrolled at Princeton University to pursue college. Her beauty also appeared in the cover of TIME Magazine as the face of the 80's. She also wrote a book in 1984, On Your Own, where she raised some issues regarding virginity.

In the 90's, she made her Broadway debut as Betty Rizzo in 1995 revival of Grease. She also invaded the television when she appeared in the comedy Friends. She was praised for her comedic talent. She also played the role of a journalist in the series Suddenly Susan in 1996. She also had The Bachelor in 1999 alongside with Chris O'Donnerll, Black and White in 1999 and The Weekend on 2000.

A challenging role was given to her when she played the role of a lesbian single mom in What Makes a Family. In 2002, she was one of the Widows in the ABC tv show. In 2004, she was a lawyer in Gone But Not Forgotten. Brooke Shields also enjoyed the role of Pamela Burkhart on the hit sitcom, That 70's Show at the same year.

In 2003, Brooke Shields gave birth to Rowan and in 2005, she released her book that accounted her struggles with post-partum depression. In the book Down Came the Rain she also included that she has been dependent with Paxil, an anti depressant pill. This ignited the war of words between Tom Cruise, believer of the teachings of the Church of Scientology and Brooke Shields.

Broadway has also been her world. She was Suzanne in The Eden Cinema on 1986. She did a good performance in Vagina Monologues in 2001 at Los Angeles. She also staged Cabaret, The Exonerated and Wonderful Town. In 2005, she had her London Broadway debut as she played Roxie Hart in Chicago.
