She was born as Bree Leslie Pucilowski on the New Year's Day of 1979 in Fitzroy, Melbourne, Australia. She is on the guitar and lead vocals of the punk rock band, The Distillers. Brody Dalle is still so young when her parents separated.
She founded the band, Sourpuss in her late teens. Her band played in Australia's Somersault Festival together with Sonic Youth and Beastie Boys. It was during this festival that she met Tim Armstrong, the drummer of the punk band Rancid. At the age of 16, she fell in love with Armstrong and decided to move with him in Los Angeles, California. She lied about her age (16 years old then) but got married when she turned 18. It was also this time, that she had founded the band The Distillers.
It was in 2000 that the punk band released their very first album entitled The Distillers. They received praises from people and compared their style to the alternative rock band, Hole. After the release of their first album, The Distillers had an overhaul and changed their style. In 2002, Sing Sing Death House was released as their second album. They released singles from this album - The Young Crazed Peeling and City of Angels. It was in 2003, that they released the third album, which is Coral Fang. Singles that were released from this album include Beat Your Heart Out, The Hunger and Drain the Blood. It was also in this year that they played Lollapalooza.
On that same year, Brody and Tim got divorced. Brody went back to her family to patch things up with them. She was also been engaged with the frontman of the Queens of the Stone Age, Josh Homme. And on January 17, 2006, Camille Harley Homme was born. She is Brody and Josh first child.
