Britney Jean Spears was born on the 2nd of December 1981 in Kentwood, Louisina. She was born to Jamie Spears, a building contractor and Lynne Spears, a grade school teacher. Bryan, her brother is one of Britney's managers. When she was young, she was engaged with gymnastics and performed in local dance revues and been active as a choir member in the church.
When she was 8, she auditioned in The New Mickey Mouse Club but was she was too young and she was not allowed to join the series. She auditioned again when she was 11 and this time, she was included in The New Mickey Mouse Club in the Disney's Channel where she joined Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Joshua Chasez and Ryan Gosling.
Britney joined Innosense, a all-female teen pop group. But later on, she decided on going solo. She signed a contract under Jive Records and begun touring America for series of concerts.
In 1998, her debut single, Baby One More Time has earned 9 million sales worldwide. In 1999, the young Britney became one of the biggest stars of the year. She had won various awards � 4 Billboard Music Awards, Favorite New Pop Rock New Artist in the American Music Awards. She also got two nominations for Grammy Awards in 2000.
And like the success of the first single, her second album, Oops! I Did It Again achieved many awards in the Billboards Music Awards. It made a record when it sold more than 1.3 million units in its first week of releasing the album. And on November 2001, she released her third album, entitled Britney. The album, In the Zone, followed this. It is the most sexual Album Britney had released. Included in this album is the single, Toxic that has given Britney her first Grammy Award � Best Dance Recording.
In January 3, 2004, Britney married Jason Allen Alexander and their marriage lasted for 55 hours. Annulment was granted on January 5. And on July 2004, she announced that she and Kevin Federline are now engaged. On the 18th of September 2004, the public was surprised when Britney and Kevin got married at Studio City, California.
Spears have 2 kids with Federline- Sean Preston on September 14, 2005 and Jayden James on September 12, 2006. Britney filed a divorce on November of 2006.
