Brigitte Bardot was born on the 28th of September 1934 at Paris, France. She stands 5'7" and her innocent but seductive beauty was first seen in 1952 when she did Le Trou Normand. She was then 18 years old. And at that age, she married Roger Vadim, who is then a film director. After her relationship with Vadim ended in a divorce, she married Jacques Charrier on 1959. They had a son, Nicolas-Jacques Charrier on 1960. They also divorced on 1962 and she married Gunther Sachs, a German millionaire on 1966. Their relationship lasted for 3 years. She is now wed to the French politician, Berbard d'Ormale.

She starred in the film, And God Created Woman. She became the fantasy of all men and dubbed as the sex kitten. She is one among the few non-English actresses that received much attention in the United States. Brigitte Bardot and Marilyn Monroe were the female sex icons in the 50's and 60's. In 1954, she shot her first American film, Un acte d'amour alongside Kirk Douglas.

She also appeared in Dear Brigitte as herself together with actor Jimmy Stewart. Mostly, her voice is being dubbed since she knows little English. She was known for sporting bikinis or even topless bikinis.

When she was 39 years old, she decided to retire. After reaching success in the entertainment field, she focused her attention in advocating animal rights. She founded the Brigitte Bardot Foundation for the Protection of Distressed Animals in 1976. And with this, she remained a vegetarian.

She was also convicted by the French court of inciting racial hatred with her comments in her book, un cri dans le silence - A Cry in Silence. She sited worries and opinions about the islamization of France. She was fined US$6,000.00.

Bardot became Marianne de France for a decade (1970-1980). This title symbolizes beauty, liberty and republic.
