Brandy was born on February 11, 1979 at exactly 8:56 PM EST at McComb, Missisippi. She attended school at Pepperdine University but unfortunately, since she has a busy schedule, she have no choice but to drop out of school. She have shown great potential in the music industry and that pushes her mom, Sonja Norwood to quit her job and manage her daughter. She has been consistent in garnering awards as the hottest R&B/pop music sensation. She managed to sell over 10 million albums in the whole world.

Because of the single, The Boy is Mine she had earned a Grammy Award. This song with Monica has been a consistent at the top of the Billboard. She had made a Altantic Record history for being the international top selling single.

Brandy also made a name with acting. She is a darling when she acts on Moesha, an award winning series on television. She also co-starred with Diana Ross when she got a role at Double Platinum. She was also the second African American lady that played the role as Cinderella. And the biggest break that was given to her in the film industry is when she co-starred in I Still Know What You Did Last Summer on 1998.

Brandy was chosen as one of the 50 Most Beautiful People in the world by People magazine on 1996. She also signed at Wilhemena International modeling agency as the spokesperson for Candies and Cover Girl.

She secretly got married on the summer of 2001 with husband, Robert Smith. The announcement of their marriage was not known by the public not until the February of 2002. But on 2004, she became engaged with Quentin Richardson, a NBA player.

Though Brandy has been so busy with his career, she has always been committed with humanitarian activities. She and her brother Ray J have founded the Norwood Kids Foundation. As performing arts as their main tool, they help the youth to elevate their ways of living.
