Biography
Hailed twice in a row as "Sexiest Man Alive" by People Magazine and with looks comparable to that of Gary Cooper and sultriness of Marilyn Monroe as cited by a critic, what else can we say to attest to Brad Pitt's incontestable charisma.
He was named William Bradley Pitt, the eldest in the brood of three, by his well-off parents, Bill and Jane. Born on December 18, 1963, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, he turned away from school just 2 credits away to graduate just so he can pursue his real passion - acting!
At school, he showed more inclination to music but has had a number of acting portrayals at school. Nonetheless, Brad never really gave a clue that what he really wanted was movie acting, although, he is a lover of movies. While he was in the University of Missouri, finishing his course in Journalism, his career path was focused on becoming an art director someday.
Like so many young, enterprising adolescents who wanted to invade the movie world, Brad has to surpass and endure a lot of obstacles and barriers to realize his dream. For one, since he never really got the permission from his parents to pursue a career in acting, he needed to survive a life without their financial support while succumbing to the realities that he needs to embark on to step up the ladder of his ambition. He needed a job to sustain himself and he did get all the jobs that he never dreamt landing on. The oddest of the oddest jobs he accepted just so he could seriously take his acting ambition. He enrolled and studied under the coaching supervision of Roy London, the very prolific acting coach who also handled luminaries such as Michelle Pfeiffer, Jeff Goldblum, and Patrick Swayze. With the workshops that he attended, works came in through. He appeared from Head of the Class to Growing Pains to soap operas like Another World to cameo roles in Less Than Zero.
Along with all these, Brad's big screen appearance came in the 1989's horror film Cutting Class and Across the Tracks where he savored a glimpse of stardom. He was also noticed in the film Thelma and Louise even when his exposure was only a few minutes.
To date, Brad Bitt is undeniably one of the most bankable stars in Hollywood. With his charming face and a body-to-die for, he would definitely be a star to look for in the coming decades.
