John Francis Bongiovi, a rock musician idol that later on turned into an actor was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey on March 2, 1962. He attended Sayreville War Memorial High School, which is a private school although he preferred to attend public school.
Jon became popular for having a unique voice and singing the songs about overcoming difficulties. You would also notice that he dance when he sings onstage.
When he was 13, he started to play the guitar and piano. Then he created the Raze band. He also became part of different bands such as The Rest, ACE, and John Bongiovi. However, before entering show business, he worked to as staff of shoe stores, car wash shop, pizzarias and burger station.
Bon Jovi became popular with his band named as Jon Bon Jovi, which plays hard rock music. Their albums sold million of copies and they were really successful from 1990-2000. Their song "Who Says You Cant Go Home" won as 2007 Best Country Collaboration in Grammy. Bon Jovi himself was even nominated on certain Grammy categories for the song "It's my Life" that made it on the top charts as well. Some other awards that they receive includes: American Music Award in 1988, World Music Awards (1995), Brit Awards (1996), UK Music Hall Of Fame (2006), and People's Choice Awards (2007).
Over 150 million Bon Jovi albums were sold around the world and the band even had concerts in cities of almost all continents. Some of their albums even top the European, World, USA and UK Charts.
