Biography
Full House star Bob Saget (Robert Lan Saget) was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA on the 17th of May 1956. He attended the film school of Temple University where he made a sketch comedy performance and made the "Through Adam's Eyes" documentary where he received a Student Academy Award in 1977. A year after that he graduated from the University.
He started as a Stand-up comedian and was known for his rough and vulgar routines. Then, he was offered the Danny Tanner role in ABC's "Full House" which lasted for eight seasons. In that sitcom, Danny is a widowed father of three girls. Another show that made him a popular as a TV personality is the America's Funniest Home Videos. He became the host of this big reality show that lasted from seven years
Saget was also nominated in 1990 Cable ACE for directing the short film "In the Dream State" that he also wrote and starred into. Then, he directed a hilarious movie titled "Dirty Work." Some viewers, who do not really know Saget, were shocked with the way he throws his jokes especially when he appeared in "Half Naked" in 1998 as well as in "Dumb and Dummer."
Saget is also a stage actor in the New York City as well as narrating a role in "How I Met Your Mother" (2005). He was inspired by his sister's story that died of a skin disease called scleroderma. Thus, he directed a TV movie entitled "For Hope." And since 2006, he is hosting the "1 vs 100" which is an NBC game show.
Ironically, he was one of those actors that were called the worst as well as the best comedian ever. But with his friendly personally, Saget was able to make his audience laugh, may it be on stage or TV.
