Robert Joseph Dole was born on July 22, 1923 in Russell, Kansas. During his High School years, he was considered as a star basketball athlete. Then, he attended University of Kansas but graduated from Washburn Municipal University (Topeka, Kansa) with a Degree in Law.
This political figure is better known as Bob Dole. His career in politics started in 1951 where he became a member of the State House of Representatives. Then after two years he served as Rusell county attorney. He was also elected as Kansas Republican Representative from 1961 to 1969.
