Biography
Bjorn Borg was considered to be the greatest tennis player in the history. Born in Stockholm, Sweden on June 6, 1656, Borg's professional tennis career began in 1971. He managed to retain his reputation by winning 41% of the Grand Slam tournaments in singles division.

At his early age, Borg received a racquet from his father who changed his son's career in the history of tennis. Borg's first tournament was held in 1972, he was the youngest tennis player to represent his country.

In 1974, he bagged the Italian Open title in the single men division. The next two weeks, he won his first Grand Slam title defeating Manuel Orantes in the French Open. He kept his title in 1975 when he beat Guillermo Vilas in the final set. Unfortunately, he lost in the Wimbledon in the set of four Ashe. However, in 1976, he defeated Ilie Nastase.

In the history of tennis, Borg was actually the youngest Wimbledon champion in the male category. From 1978 to 1980, Borg maintained his skyrocketed career in the tennis history winning straight sets in the French Open.

Borg's close rivals Connors, Vilas and McEnroe were the highly anticipated events in Borg's tennis games. In 1980, he won his 5th succeeding Wimbledon singles defeating McEnroe. This game was considered to be the best game noted in the Wimbledon history. On the other hand, in the 1981 Wimbledon final, Borg lost to Connors in the semifinal rounds and his last Grand Final Slam was loss to McEnroe in US Open in 1981.

His skills in tennis and passion about winning made Borg a famous hero of tennis field. He was regarded as the best player of 1977-1980. The tennis icon and legendary player is enjoying his retirement with his "last and third wife" Patricia, a Swede whom he married in 2002.
