At the age of five, Billie Joe Armstrong is singing for the patients in the hospital letting them feel good about themselves. Gifted with the voice and sensitive ears to music, Billie Joe has been hitting the guitar notes and already made a song Look for Love at his tender five years. Since then, Billie Joe has determined his destiny to be somebody in the music industry.
Born on February 17, 1972, Billie Joe got the voice that attunes with punk and rock music. He started really young that he created a band Green Day with his best friend Mark Dirnt who shared many common things with him.
Dirnt and Armstrong established a band of committed young musicians and are still performing down to these days. Billie Joe was the youngest in the brood of six children. His father died of cancer when he was 10 year old. He dearly loved his father who bought his first electric guitar he called "blue" because of its color. Armstrong made a song for his father entitled Wake Me Up When September Ends, a song lamenting his father's death and how he cope up with the loss. Billing Joe still brings Blue to his concerts anywhere.
Armstrong married a fellow rock enthusiast named Adrienne Nesser, a girl from Minneapolis Minnesota. Armstrong and Nesser spent a five-minute wedding on July 2, 1994. After the wedding, the couple found out that Adrienne was pregnant. Billie Joe and Adrienne have two boys, Joseph Marcicano and Jakob Danger who were born three years apart.
These days, the band Billie Joe established is one of the high profiled punk rock music bands of the century. The original band name was "Sweet Child" but was later changed to Green Day, slang for smoking pot, a name that created lasting and strong impression of the band to these days.
