Biography
Golden Globe and Emmy winner William Bill Murray is one of the versatile and famous and talented actors in the Hollywood. Known for his comedy roles in movies like Caddyshack, Ghostbusters and Groundhog Day, Bill made his way up to Hollywood ladder using his wit and acting charisma.

Murray was born on September 21, 1950 in Wilmette, Illinois from a lumber salesman Edward Murray II and Lucille Collins. The fifth among the nine children, Murray pursued his acting career after dropping out from Regis University (Denver, CO).

Moving on to Hollywood with his brother Brian, both became members of Chicago's Second City comedy group. He first appeared in the Saturday Night Live in 1975, his first television role as an actor.

His first movie role Meatballs in 1979, Murray starred and appeared in numerous films. Murray received BAFTA Award for Best Actor and Golden Globe Award for a single film Lost in Translation. Murray is also the voice behind the CGI cat Garfield and Venkman in the cartoon The Real Ghostbusters cartoon series.

Murray is an independent Hollywood actor and is always off the media. He is a private Hollywood persona and is very choosy in his films. Similar to other movie starts. Murray also has experienced downtrends in his acting career but has been really choosy to improve his career. His comeback movies includes the voice of Charlie in Charlie's Angels and the Lost in Translation which earned him good performance reviews and awards.

This Saturday Night Live performer is also a producer (Quick Change) and a screenplay writer. Aside from the Saturday Night Live performances, Murray appeared on "National Lampoon Radio Hour" with his brother Brian. Murray is a golf fanatic and a huge Michael Jordan-fan. He had two sons from former wife Margaret Kelly and married Jennifer Butler in 1997. Bill and Jennifer have four children.
