Bif Naked is a female punk rock singer from Canada. She has released many albums over a career that has spanned more than a decade. She has made appearances in various movies, soundtracks and video games in addition to touring and making records.
Bif Naked was born Beth Torbert in New Delhi, India on June 15th, 1971. She was the child of private school students, given up for adoption to a pair of American missionaries. Bif Naked's parents traveled with her, living in America for a time when her father worked as a professor at the University of Kentucky, but ultimately ending up in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Bif Naked was interested in performing from a young age, and after graduating from high school at John Taylor Collegiate, she attended the University of Winnipeg where she studied acting. She played in punk rock bands during this period including "Gorilla Gorilla" and "Chrome Dog", finally becoming successful when he played shows under her own name.
Since becoming successful, Bif Naked has toured around the world with artists such as the Foo Fighters, Sheryl Crow, Billy Idol and Snoop Dogg. After "Bif Naked", her debut album released in 1995, Bif Naked has recorded the albums "Okenspay Ordway 1", "I Bificus", "Purge", "Essentially Naked", and "Superbeautifulmonster". Her singles have included the songs "Spaceman", "Twitch", "We're Not Gonna Take It" (a Twisted Sister cover), "I Love Myself Today", "Tango Shoes", "Leader", "Choking On The Truth", "Rich and Filthy", "Back In The Day", "Let Down", "Nothing Else Matters" and "Everyday".
Aside from her band, Bif Naked has contributed music to the MTV Celebrity Deathmatch soundtrack. She has also appeared in a cameo role in the zombie movie "The House of the Dead", and she has lent her voice acting talent to the Daria movie "Is It Fall Yet?" and the snowboarding video game SSX, where she plays the character Zoe. She continues to produce music and tour.
