Barry Watson is an actor most famous for playing the part of Matt Camden on the long running WB drama "7th Heaven".
Barry Watson was born in Traverse City, Michigan on April 23rd, 1974. When he was eight years old, his family moved to Dallas, Texas. Throughout his high school years Barry Watson worked as a model, and before graduating he temporarily moved to Burbank to land a role on the popular soap opera "Days of Our Lives". Finishing his part after six months, he found life difficult, and returned to graduate from high school in 1992. After high school he went back to Los Angeles to give acting another try, finding several small TV parts, most notably a five episode run on the drama "Malibu Shores", before joining the main cast of the WB produced drama / comedy "7th Heaven" in 1996.
"7th Heaven" follows the life of a highly religious Protestant family called the Camdens, as various family members grow up, make plans and move. It is one of the WB's longest running and most successful programs. Barry Watson plays the part of "Matt Camden", one of the Camden sons, on the series. As a main member of the cast, he has appeared in over one hundred and fifty episodes. The role in "7th Heaven" has been popular and though he has since appeared occasionally in films such as "Sorority Boys", "When Strangers Appear" and "Love on the Side", his work schedule has mostly been taken up with the series. Recently, however, he has moved to a leading role on the ABC series "What About Brian?", an ensemble show where he plays the titular Brian. This new show involves a group of friends in their thirties, of whom Brian is the only one not to have been married. The show seems to be going well, despite bad time placement in its initial season.
