Barret Swatek is a television actress and former competitive figure skater. As of early 2007 she is best known for her role as Cheryl on the WB network television series "7th Heaven".
Barret Swatek was born in Birmingham, Alabama on March 3, 1977. During her pre-teen years she was a competitive figure skater, but since the age of 13 she became interested in singing and acting. After graduating from high school, she majored in film at Loyola Marymount University. She began finding work as an actress in the late nineties, and has made many small appearances in various television shows and movies. Her brief television appearances include shows such as the "Power Rangers", "Just Shoot Me", and "Three Sisters". In film she has appeared in small parts in the movies "Lethal Weapon 4" and "The 40 Year Old Virgin".
Barret Swatek was able to find a strong role that suited her childhood experience in the mockumentary comedy film "On Edge", which was set in the world of champion figure skating, and cast her against Jason Alexander and Wendie Malick in a leading role. However, Barret Swatek's best known role is in the WB produced ongoing dramatic series "7th Heaven", which she appeared in from 2000 to 2003 in fifteen episodes as the character of Cheryl.
