Austin Peck is an actor, best known for his soap opera appearances, particularly the part of Austin Reed, which he has played repeatedly on the popular American soap opera television program "Days of Our Lives".
Austin Peck was born in Hawaii on April 9, 1971. When he was four years old, his family moved to San Francisco, California; and when he was eight they moved again to Los Angeles. Austin Peck became interested in modeling as a teenager and, encouraged by his friends and a commercial agent, started seeking out acting roles and modeling work when he was sixteen years old. His first work as an actor was in a Pop-Tarts commercial the same year. Finding faster success with modeling, by the time he was eighteen, Austin Peck had become an international fashion model, working in locations as diverse as Rome, Paris, Milan and Morocco. He also appeared in numerous fashion advertisements in magazines including Vogue Homme, Esquire, GQ and the U.K. version of Vogue Magazine.
When Austin Peck turned nineteen, he returned to L.A. to further pursue acting. He studied acting at the Stella Adler Conservatory, and then in New York City at the New Actors Workshop and at the Three of Us Studios. He returned to Los Angeles when he was hired by the top-rated soap opera "Days of Our Lives" for the role of Austin Reed. He stayed in this role for seven years, from April 13, 1995 to April 5, 2002. When he was dropped from the show in 2002, fans were encouraged to send in letters to have him be brought back on. He returned to his role on the show from September 20th, 2005 to October 26th, 2006. Austin Peck has been reported to receive more fan mail than any other member of the cast on "Days of Our Lives". He also won the Soap Opera Digest Award for Hottest Romance with co-star Christie Clark.
Austin Peck's hobbies include skating and boxing. As of early 2007 he is working on the CBS soap opera "As the World Turns" in the role of Brad Snyder.
