Aurelie Claudel is a prominent international fashion model. Her career is currently growing; while she has not yet reached supermodel status she has gotten numerous jobs from the world's largest fashion agencies and is gradually becoming better known throughout the world.
Aurelie Claudel was born in Saint-Mars-d'Autille, France on August 7, 1980. She first became interested in becoming a model as a young teenager, when she was offered modeling work by an agent who saw her in a park in Paris. Although her father did not think it was a good idea for her to quit school and work in modeling, Aurelie Claudel decided to give it a try. By the time she was eighteen years old, she was appearing in Cosmopolitan magazine. Since then she has also appeared in the American and European versions of the magazines Vogue and Marie Claire. She has also been photographed for fashion modeling appearances in Elle magazine, Allure, and Harper's Bazaar. In 2001, she was photographed for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, and famous people she has been photographed by include Mario Testino, Peter Lindbergh and Steven Meisel. She has appeared in numerous fashion shows around the world for fashion designers including Gucci, Chloe, Emanuel Ungaro and Victoria's Secret. She has also appeared recently in an advertising campaign for Calvin Klein's "Truth", and she has appeared with Latin pop singer Ricky Martin in the music video for the song "Private Emotion".
Aurelie Claudel has been pregnant as of 2006 and appeared recently in the April 2006 U.S. version of Vogue Magazine as "The Pregnant Model". Aurelie Claudel is five foot ten, with brown hair and brown eyes. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling to islands and horseback riding. After her modeling career she says that she wants to settle down in the country with her family and her horses and just relax.
