Anouk Aimee was born on April 27, 1931. She is an acclaimed French film actress. Throughout her career, Anouk has garnered international acclaim. For example, during her career, Anouk has been nominated for both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe in the United States.

Anouk actually was named Franį¯Šse Sorya Dreyfus in Paris. Her mother was a French actress of acclaim, Genevieve Sorya. Her father was Henry Dreyfus. Anouk is Jewish. Throughout her career, throughout her life, Anouk became one of the most respected and highly regarded of all French actresses. Her performances in many films have been described as powerful and moving.

Anouk began her acting career at the age of 14. She made her first appearance in French films at that time, in 1947. She garnered significant attention in 1958 when she portrayed the tragic artist Jeanne Hebuterne in the stunning film Les Amants de Montparnasse. Her performance in this film brought rave reviews for Anouk and her work.

Anouk was the wife of British film legend Albert Finney. The couple was married from 1970 to 1978. Finney was her fourth husband. Anouk also was married to Nikos Papatakis, a film director. That marriage lasted from 1951 through 1954.

Anouk continued to make appearances in films well into her so-called "Golden Years." For example, in 2001, Anouk appeared in Festival and Cannes. She played the role of Mille Marquand in that film.
