Biography
Anna Faris is an actor in the United States. She is the daughter of Jack and Karen Faris. Anne Faris was born in Edmonds, Washington, which is a community located north of Seattle.
Faris actually was encouraged to pursue acting by both of her parents. Her parents have been very supportive of her career as an actor. With her parents support, Faris actually landed her first professional job as an actress when she was just nine years old. At that time, she became a part of the Seattle Repertory Theater, one of the most respected theaters of its type in the United States.
Despite her early involvement in acting, Faris did complete high school and then went on to obtain a degree in English Literature from the University of Washington. Following her graduation, she lived in London for a time, continuing to pursue her career in acting in that city.
In 1999, Faris started dating actor Ben Indra. The dated for five years before marrying in 2004.
Her first significant role was in the independent film Lovers Lane, in 1999. Her breakout role was in the horror film parody, Scary Movie. She also played a recurring role in the extremely popular American sitcom Friends during that program's final season.
More recently, she was cast in My Super Ex-Girlfriend with Uma Thurman and Luke Wilson. She is involved in the film production of Kids in America in which she portrays Topher Grace's twin sister. Another of her upcoming films is Mama's Boy with Diane Keaton and Jeff Daniels. Also upcoming for Faris is Smiley Face with John Cho and Adam Brody.
