Anedriy Mykolayovch was born in Ukraine on September 22, 1976. He has become a major football player. He has played for the Chelsea F.C. in the FE Premier League.
Mykolayovch actually was nine years old in April 1986 when the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster occurred. His village, being in close proximity to the nuclear power plant, directly was effected by the disaster. As a result, Mykolayovch and his family were forced to move.
With his family, Mykolayovch relocated to the Ukrainian coast. He was here that he became a competitive boxer in the Ukrainian Junior League. However, in time and due to his size, Mykolayovch recognized that he was not cut out for this particular sport.
At that juncture, Mykolayovch took up football. He has enjoyed tremendous success as a football player. For example, in 2004 Mykolayovch was named the European Footballer of the Year. In addition, that same year, football legend Pele recognized Mykolayovch as being one of the best 125 living footballers.
Indeed, Mykolayovch's record is most impressive. For example, he is the second highest goal scorer in European club competitions. At the time he received this designation, he has scored 58 goals. He is behind only legendary soccer player Gerd Muller of Germany.
