Biography
Amber Benson was born in Birmingham, Alabama on January 8th 1977. Her most well known role was as Tara in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She is an actress, writer, producer, and director. She acted in and helped produce Buffy, and at the same time acted in, edited, wrote, produced, and directed a feature entitled Chance which came out in 2002. She also worked with the BBC on a set of animation films called Ghosts of Albion.

In 2006, Amber released another independent feature film of her own, through Benson Entertainment, her own production studio. The film, Lovers, Liars, and Lunatics, was well received, and was, ironically, partially financed through income from the sales of action figures depicting Benson as her character from Buffy.

Benson writes novels and comic books as well as her acting and screen production career. She often collaborates with Christopher Golden, and Dark Horse Comics, which helped her to create a Buffy themed comic book based around her character, Tara. She has written (in collaboration with Golden, again) several paranormal thriller stories including Ghosts of Albion: Accursed, and Ghosts of Albion: Witchery.

Some interesting facts about Benson were admitted by Benson herself on the November 2nd, 2000 episode of the late night radio show Loveline, where she said she was a virgin (23 years old at the time), and that her mother drove her to the radio studio because she still did not have a driver's license. She resides in Los Angeles, California, and recently appeared in such movies as Strictly Sexual, and Kiss the Bride.

Access to much of her media and production material is available on the internet, and often can be viewed in part or even in full. She continues to produce animations, comics, books, and to act in films and on television.
