Amanda Marcum is a model, and has been in advertisements for Liz Claiborne, Tommy Hilfiger, Armani, and Ellesse, to name a few. She began her professional modeling career when she was sixteen. She grew up in the Midwest in Oklahoma, and was both frightened and excited when she traveled to Paris to learn, compete, and try to make it through the difficult screening processes for up and coming models. She had difficulty at first finding work, and was rejected often. She traveled Europe for four years trying to find her niche, which finally came when she colored her naturally blonde hair an auburn red shade. This distinguishing factor boosted her career incredibly quickly, and she soon received more work than she was able to handle. She appeared on many covers and appeared in several fashion magazines including Elle, Vogue, and Max. She began to advertise personally for Buffalo Jeans and L'Oreal. She even took walks down the runway for designers like Chanel.

Her career is still in full swing, and though she has had remarkable success, Amanda remains down to earth. She has been quoted as saying in response to the question, "Are you going to school for modeling?" with a sarcastic retort like "Oh yeah, I'm majoring in walking and plucking my eyebrows." (Stuff Magazine) She enjoys going to church and writing poetry in her spare time. She also says she will not date short men, and she is not a big fan of long hair. If she had her choice of leisure activities, she enjoys off-roading in four-wheelers, looking to stir up some serious mud.
