Biography
For any man, the sight of Penelope Cruz is enough to make his mouth start watering...but what about woman who has the innocence of Penelope and her own smokin' 10-point body, luscious lips and long, flowing hair? Almudena Fernandez is not only famous as one of Victoria Secret's sexy lingerie models, but she has also racked up quite a resume as a spokesperson (model) for companies like Revlon, L'Oreal and Kenneth Cole. Whether she's better when showing flashing her bright, ferocious eyes or when playing demure in a satin cami is hard to tell.

Aside from being a spokes model for dozens of European and American brands and part of the Victoria's Secret sexy crew, Almudena walks on the ramps internationally, at the behest of nearly every designer.

Although Almudena entered the modeling world as a mere child, a teenager not yet out of high school, she seems to have shaken off the childhood shivers about fame, keeping the innocence, and used her experiences and her beauty to propel herself to the top of the modeling food chain.

Born on 1 January 1977, in Benavente Zamora, Spain, Almudena had a relatively normal childhood in a loving home, with loving parents and siblings. She attended school like every young child and made graduation plans with her friends-plans that would ultimately be disrupted as Almudena was ripped from the ordinary world and shoved into the spotlight.

Almudena's big break into modeling came when she was still an unsuspecting senior in high school, when she entered the Supermodel of the World contest sponsored by the Spanish Elle and finished second-a win that pushed her to enter the European version of the contest, again winning second. She immediately landed modeling jobs with Olivier Strelli, Hermes, Lacoste, Manoukian and shortly after, in 2000, made the move to New York City, where she was featured in dozens of magazines and started working for names like Cartier and Gianfronco Ferre.

Almudena's first mega break came in 2000, shortly after she moved to New York, when she landed her two biggest contracts as the spokes model for both Organza Indecence by Givenchy and Aquaflore by Carolina Herrera.

In 2001, after a forceful publicity push to get in touch with her fans, Almudena began strutting the catwalk for Antonio Miro and Armando Basi, amongst many other designers-in-waiting, so to speak. During this same time, she appeared on the covers of Elle and Cosmopolitan and started working for Relvon, L'Oreal, Parasuco, KC Kenneth Cole, and Victoria's Secret-perhaps where she has earned her most fame in America.

Almudena is currently living in New York City, although who she stays rooted for is under speculation-is it for herself, Scott Schweiger (fellow model) or Antonio Macian (fellow model-and we're rooting for him because then they can be smokin' together!).
