Biography
Since the beginning of time, or at least the modern ages, women have had a hard time resisting a gorgeous man...and if he could sing too, all hope is lost for a woman's recovery from her fantasy crush. Alejandro Sanz is not only an extremely handsome man who can sing, but he is multi-million record selling Latin (just another reason to love him) recording artist.

Aside from having extreme success on his own, Alejandro has participated in several fruitful collaborations, rocketing himself and his duet partners to the top of the charts. Whatever spare he has is devoted to his guitar and his two children.

Born Alejandro Sanchez Pizarro on the 18 December 1968, in Madrid, Spain, Alejandro learned to love his music and his guitar from the young age of seven, often performing local parish functions by the age of 15, proving after all that it does take a village to raise a child. Alejandro eventually moved onto bars and clubs-although, unlike most struggling young artists, he was performing under the dim lights instead of getting smashed.

Alejandro's big break came at the age of 16, when he recorded his first album-which was hugely successful despite his young age and the torrent of the times-while he was attending management classes in Moratalaz.

Soon after, Alejandro's mixed Spanish-Italian flamenco-ballad tunes were everywhere, making women swoon to the strum of his guitar and the beautiful tones of his skin and eyes.

Alejandro has released nearly a dozen attention-drawing and award-winning albums throughout his career, including Viviendo desprisa (1991), Sit u me miras (1993), Basico (1994), 3 (1995), Mas (1997), El alma al aire (2000), No es los mismo (2003) and El tren do los momentos (2006). Pulling all of his works together collectively, this Latin cutie has sold more than nine million albums throughout the world. And as of 2006, the muy guapo guy has won 14 Latin Grammy's and 1 regular Grammy.

Throughout his career, Alejandro has teamed up with some of the Latin world's most successful recording artists to create some of the most memorable collaborations in Latin music history. He has teamed up with the Corrs as a cast member in their video for Una Noche and sang The Hardest Day with them, both of which are included on their "Best of..." album. But not even the Corrs can compare to the chart-topping singles he's put together as a duet with the one and only, sizzling Shakira. Alejandro sings with Shakira both on her hit single "La Tortura" as well as his own hit single "Te lo Agradezco, Pero No," on his newest album.

Currently, Alejandro is Spain's best-selling pop singer.

He was once a devoted partner to Mexican super model, Jaydy Michel, and the two have one daughter together, and although they separated in 2004, they remain close for their daughter. Alejandro is currently paired with Valeria Rivera, and they have one son together.
