Biography
For most women, resisting a man with a smooth voice, beautiful deep blue eyes and a six-pack surrounded by a muscular body, is not only difficult, but also impossible to manage. Adam Rickitt is not only famous as one of Britain's most talented actors, but he is also a former singer and model that can win perfect points on any woman's charts.
Although Adam was born into an estate agency family business, his first love was being in front of the camera. And he made his intentions to pursue a life of fame and fortune well-known at a very young age, showing that he is not only handsome and intelligent, but persuasive as well (although the first two would have been enough for most women...).
Born Adam Peter Rickitt on the 29 May 1978, Adam frequented such popular magazines in the United Kingdom as Attitude and Cosmopolitan throughout his young adult life, despite nasty rumors about his sexuality. He continued modeling full-time until his big break into television in 1997 when he landed the role of Nick on the popular British television series 'Coronation Street'-Adam played Nick, full-time until 1999 and then on and off again from 2002 to 2004.
During his hiatus from Coronation Street, Adam signed a six-album deal for a music career. In 1999, he released his debut album, 'Good Times', which peaked at Number 41 on the charts-a disappointment that caused Adam to abandon his singing career because he felt that he was better than that. Despite the poor performance of the album, Adam's debut single "I Breathe Again" did reach Number 5 in the UK's Top 10, something he should have taken as a sign of goodwill and good faith from his fans.
Aside from being torn between the worlds of acting, modeling, and singing, Adam also has a great love for the people of Britain and a great interest in politics. In 2005, he was approved as a prospective parliamentary candidate and in mid 2006 was chosen as one of 100 MPs for the Conservative Party's coveted and often manipulated for "A-List" achievement. In an attempt to move out of the acting world and into the world of politics, Adam has also used his web site as a political forum, posting his own political blog there for the world, and all of his fans to see, comment on and clash with. Adam has even been looked at for the possibility of sitting in the seat at parliament for Macclesfield, a feat that will be tough with the contention of 30-year veteran Sir Nicholas Winterton ready to do battle over it.
Currently, Adam is playing a starring role on the New Zealand soap opera, 'Shortland Street', even though he originally had signed on only to play a guest role in one episode, which probably means that he has put his political ambitions and the other ambitions of his life on hold once again for acting.
