Biography
This Golden Globe nominated American film actor and performer is a not just handsome and blonde, but terribly talented as well. He has played both leading and supporting actor roles in a multitude of films, but has won a plethora of awards for his role as a 'sociopath ladies' man, Chad, in Neil LaBrute's independent film, 'In the Company of Men' (1997).

Born Aaron E. Eckhart on 12 March 1968, in Santa Clara County, California, USA, Aaron was born with chiselled good looks. After having spent part of his formative years in England, and while in Sydney, Australia dropped out of high school, eventually enrolling at Brigham Young University, to earn a high school degree, where he met his future collaborator Neil LaBrute.

Having earned his graduation, Eckhart joined the ranks of numerous unemployed actors in Manhattan, but got lucky with beer! He was selected to play a construction worker for a beer commercial. In 1993, upon his return to California, he started acting in bit roles for serials such as 'Ancient Secrets of the Bible, Part II' until In the Company of Men happened. Soon after the success of this movie, Eckhart and LaBrute collaborated again for 'Your Friends and Neighbours' (1998); and Eckhart was virtually unrecognizable as an overweight, impotent and sexually frustrated husband. Once again, the actor managed to demonstrate an astonishing range of emotions and gained more than 30 pounds for the role!

In 1999, Eckhart sought his own path with a pair of memorable and completely diverse performance in 'Molly' and 'Any Given Sunday'. Molly explored Eckhart's acting talent as a caring brother to an autistic sibling and soon casting agents were knocking on Aaron Eckhart's door. Having established a reputation as a versatile actor, Eckhart was next seen as Julia Robert's boyfriend in Soderbergh's dramatic 'Erin Brockovich' (2000). 2001, was the year of reunion. LaBrute and Eckhart came together for 'Nurse Betty' and 'Possession' (2001). The latter saw him being cast together with Gwyneth Paltrow. In the same year, Sean Penn tapped Eckhart's potential further, when he cast him opposite Jack Nicholson in the scorching drama 'The Pledge'. Very soon, Eckhart was trying to diffuse the nuclear bomb set to destroy the world, in the lukewarm Sci-fi drama 'The Core' (2003) along with Oscar-winning actor Hilary Swank.

Having now established himself in every sphere of acting, Eckhart starred opposite Cate Blanchett in Ron Howard's lacklusture western 'The Missing' and John Woo's action thriller 'Paycheck' (both 2003). Eckhart next appeared in 'Suspect Zero' (2004) by experimental filmmaker E. Elias Merhige. He also had recurring role in the final episodes of the comedy series 'Frasier' (2004).

But Eckhart was truly memorable, once again in a negative role, in a scathing performance in the critically-acclaimed, and a role for which he was nominated for the Golden Globe, 'Thank You for Smoking' (2006). This Jason Reitman movie did the rounds of major film festival circuits and garned tremendous laughs! Alas! The laughs didn't continue for too long as Eckhart was next seen in Brian De Palma's drama 'The Black Dahlia' (2006), along with Josh Hartnett. Though Aaron Eckhart gave a sterling performance as an ex-pugilist, but now a homicide detective nicked Mr. Fire, the movie failed to arouse the audience.
