It seems that Amanda Bynes just can’t keep herself out of trouble. The 28-year-old troublemaking actress was arrested on Sunday morning at 3am for DUI, and has been charged with a misdemeanor after police “determined she was under the influence of a controlled substance” while driving. Oh, Amanda. The former Nickelodeon child star was held on a $15,000 bail before she was released at 1pm on the same day.
She was then pulled over and “given a series of field sobriety tests, which she was unable to complete.”
Bynes was then transported to the CPH West Valley Office where she was given a drug evaluation test that determined she was, in fact, under the influence of a controlled substance. The substance is still unknown, but knowing Amanda, it was not one beer.
Bynes currently has an upcoming court date scheduled for Oct. 23.
This is really bad news for Amanda, who was placed on three-year probation in February this year, due to her 2012 DUI arrest. As part of the plea deal, she was also ordered to complete a three-month alcohol education program.
The actress had numerous other run-ins with the law during the last few years, including a number of driving-related arrests in Los Angeles and an incident in which she allegedly threw a bong out of the window of her New York apartment in May 2013. The bong case was dismissed in June, after the actress successfully complied with the judge’s orders to stay out of trouble and attend six months of counseling.
The former child star turned actress didn’t get in trouble only with the law. She had a number of weird tweet outbursts, in which she called a number of A-list celebrities “ugly,” in addition to sharing some truly revealing pictures.
