Actor and comedian Tracy Morgan is getting better, but is nowhere near the same state he was prior to surviving the six-car accident in June. The dreadful car accident left Tracy critically injured and one person dead.
Morelli had a meeting with Walmart‘s attorneys to set up future hearings.
“He’s fighting to get better. If there’s a chance to be back to the Tracy Morgan he once was, he is going to try to do that. We just don’t know. But is he doing much better? He’s doing better,” the star’s lawyer concluded.
Tracy Morgan was placed in critical condition five months ago, after a Walmart driver slammed into the actor’s limo, sending the famous comedian to the hospital with a broken leg, broken femur, broken nose, and broken ribs. The crash was fatal for Morgan’s fellow passenger and comedy writer James McNair.
Morgan is suing Walmart, claiming that the company was “careless and negligent in the ownership and operation of its motor vehicle, which caused Morgan to suffer severe personal injuries.” Walmart filed a countersuit faulting Morgan for not wearing a seatbelt and claimed the injuries happened “by failure to wear an appropriate available seat belt restraint device.”
A spokesperson for Walmart previously issued a statement that read that “the company continues to stand willing to work with Mr. Morgan and the other plaintiffs to resolve this matter.”
