2. Djimon Honsou
Born on April 24, 1964 in Cotonou, Benin, Honsou lived with his father, who worked as a cook, until he was 13 years old.
It was at this time that he emigrated to Lyon, France with his brother. The “Blood Diamond” and “Amistad” actor struggled day-to-day on the streets of France for years.
However, one day he had a chance encounter with a photographer who saw potential in him and introduced him to well-known fashion designer Thierry Mugler.
Mugler encouraged Honsou to enter the world of modeling, which he did, and helped develop his career in Paris. In 1990, Honsou moved to the United States to pursue an acting career and his rise to fame is well catalogued.
Dijmon Honsou will next be seen in the summer blockbuster “Guardians of the Galaxy,” to be released by Marvel films. “Guardians of the Galaxy” is written and directed by James Gunn, the filmmaker who is best known for quirky science fiction and horror stories like “Slither” and “Super.”
Dijimon Honsou is said to have a small but important role in the film that could crop up again in sequels.
I can think of 9 I wish were homeless…
WHY would you ever wish homelessness on ANYONE?!
