5 Awesome Celebrities Who Might Run For President In 2020

November 18, 2016

Donald Trump’s (un)expected win in the 2016 presidential election has caused quite a racket, not just in the US but across the globe.

It has also opened a new door for other celebrities with no political experience who are now considering to run for the Oval Office 4 years from now, confirming the fact that modern politics is nothing more than one big show.

In that name, here are 5 notable people who might run for president in 2020.

1. Kanye West

Kanye has been saying a lot of crazy stuff lately, but this one particular thing might not be gibberish at all. In a recent interview he had with the BBC, the rapper revealed that he had been thinking about this idea quite a bit.

“When I talk about the idea of being president, I’m not saying I have any political views. I just have a view on humanity, on people, on the truth. If there is anything that I can do with my time to somehow make a difference while I’m still alive, I’m all for it.”

2. Katy Perry

It is known that this popular singer campaigned heavily for Hillary Clinton, among other famous people from the celeb world, and we might just see her running for the throne in 2020.

Katy also posted an Instagram photo with former presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton about a month after Trump declared his candidacy last year.

The caption read: “42, 43 46?!” hinting her presidential desires.

3. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

The Hollywood star and former WWE wrestler, The Rock, is a registered Republican voter. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair when he was asked if he would run for president, he said: “I wouldn’t rule it out”.

Honestly, he might just have a chance. People would probably be too scared not to vote for him.

4. Chris Rock

Comedian Chris Rock was perhaps the most blatant about it. He took to Twitter immediately after Trump’s win last week and wrote the following:

“I’m gonna run in 2020 wish me luck.”

5. Will Smith

The actor was rather open about his future political endeavors when he talked to CBS last year. In response to then-candidate Trump’s divisive rhetoric, Smith said:

“If people keep saying all the crazy kinds of stuff they’ve been saying on the news lately about walls and Muslims, they’re going to force me into the political arena. I mean, I gotta be the president… What else would I run for?”

Let’s just hope he wasn’t kidding.
