The screen and stage actress will be commended for her inspired creative work and a career of contributions to the fashion and beauty domains.
In March, Parker launched her collection of shoes, handbags and trench coats in association with George Malkemus III, named SJP after herself.
In addition to design, her TV and film credits are expansive, most famously including the “Sex and the City” series in HBO production, for which she won four Golden Globe Awards, three Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Emmy Awards as her character Carrie Bradshaw.
As far as her stage acting goes, her most recent performance was earlier this year in the Manhattan Theatre Club’s critically acclaimed production, “The Commons of Pensacola,” opposite Blythe Danner.
Parker also puts her effort into charitable causes and currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the New York City Ballet and is a UNICEF ambassador. In November 2009, the Obama administration elected her to be a member of the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities.
Sarah Jessica Parker’s creative vision is expressed throughout her career, from her fashion brand to her iconic film and TV characters to her support for the arts.
“It’s our honor to toast her achievements at this year’s event,” says CLIO Executive Vice President Nicole Purcell. Parker received the award on May 7th at The Pierre Hotel in New York.
